Position Summary

Donâ™t miss the opportunity to join our team at Washington University Department of Urological Surgery! This Staff Nurse position is focused on assisting adult patients with their urological needs including, but not limited to: catheter changes, Cystoscopies, and various other tests and procedures as well as meeting any of the patientâ™s urological needs. The right candidate will be able to work with a team of RNs, LPNs, Mas, along side of Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, and Doctors, as well as independently to support patients and providers.


This is a weekday, day time position. No weekends! No holidays!

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care.
  • Provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice.
  • Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/families regarding disease process and symptom management.
  • Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information.
  • Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assists the health care provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills and other processes related to direct patient care.
  • Maintains required skills and competencies and participates in educational programs, staff meetings and in services such as CPR as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

$56,200.00 - $96,100.00 / Annually
