Summary:
The Safety Coordinator will lead and manage health, safety, and risk management programs in a heavy civil construction environment. The role requires field-based oversight, compliance with OSHA/MSHA, and the development of engaging safety trainings. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience and a strong passion for employee safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct job site visits to assess and correct safety hazards.
• Develop and deliver impactful safety trainings and maintain safety documentation.
• Guide and coach managers/superintendents on project-specific safety requirements.
• Assist in developing traffic control plans and incident analysis.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA) and conduct audits.
• Lead special projects, incident evaluations, and support industrial hygiene practices.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years' safety management experience in a heavy civil construction environment.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging safety trainings.
• Strong coaching and feedback skills with the ability to influence diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment substance testing.
• Preferred certifications: ASP, CHST, OSHA 510/500, MSHA Blue Card, Competent Person Trainings
