Document Clerk
Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented
Document Scanning & Data Management Clerk to join our team. This role involves digitizing paper documents, organizing files, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all document handling processes.
Key Responsibilities - Document Scanning: Operate scanning equipment to digitize paper documents; ensure clarity and proper formatting.
- File Organization: Sort and categorize documents; maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
- Quality Control: Verify scanned documents against originals; correct errors and rescan as needed.
- Data Management: Upload files to databases or shared drives; label and index for quick retrieval.
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle sensitive information responsibly; adhere to data protection regulations.
- Other Duties: Assist with shredding or archiving old documents; support administrative tasks as needed.
Skills - Document scanning and storage
- Data entry and filing
- Computer proficiency and scanner operation
- Strong organizational skills
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanning software
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Prior experience in document management or clerical work preferred
Physical Requirements - Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25–30 lbs
- Prolonged periods of sitting and operating scanning equipment
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
