Job Description

Description We are searching for a skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role involves the execution of a variety of accounting duties, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Bank Reconciliations, with a focus on ensuring accurate financial records. This role will also be involved in reporting union and prevailing wages, so prior construction industry experience is preferred. Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the entire Accounts Payable (AP) process. - Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring prompt and accurate payments. - Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. - Maintain the General Ledger, including the preparation of Journal Entries. - Participate in the Month End Close process, verifying and adjusting financial data as necessary. - Manage the payroll process, including Payroll Taxes and Payroll Tax Returns. - Handle payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and agreements.
