ABOUT US:
Kappo Tsan is a 30-seat Japanese restaurant & chef’s counter by Executive Chef David Tsan. The name “kappo” translates to “to cut and to cook”, a style of dining that blends the elegance of kaiseki with the approachability of an izakaya. Unlike the formality of omakase, kappo emphasizes warmth and connection between chef and guest, creating an immersive and interactive dining experience. YOUR TASKS:

• Prepare sushi menu items to order and within specified time frame
• Comply with Kappo Tsan’s quality standards and national food safety standards
• Proper handling of kitchen equipment and appliances
• Clean and sanitize work areas during and after shifts
• Restock, log and discard product appropriately
• Assist fellow team members with tasks whenever able

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years prior sushi experience required (Skills assessment conducted during the interview)
• Must be 18 or older
• Commitment to continuous learning and growth
• Able to remain calm and communicate effectively during stressful situations
• Able to hear, see and speak
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Able to stand or walk up to eight hours at a time
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
