About the Role

As a Tax Resolution Attorney, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with tax resolution matters. You will communicate directly with the IRS and state tax agencies, negotiate payment plans, secure levy releases, and develop strategies to help clients overcome tax burdens. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through complex tax laws while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate with clients, tax agencies, and internal teams to facilitate case resolution.

Draft opinion letters, IRS ruling requests, and responses to IRS inquiries.

Obtain and analyze tax transcripts to assess case strategy.

Prepare and review financial documents to determine the best resolution options.

Negotiate offers in compromise, installment agreements, and innocent spouse relief.

Release wage garnishments and bank levies to provide immediate relief to clients.

Regularly update clients and team members on case progress and timelines.

Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in the system.

What We're Looking For

Licensed Enrolled Agent with active credentials.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax resolution, including offers in compromise, installment agreements, currently not collectible status, and levy releases.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused approach.

Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a team.

Experience handling IRS and state tax agency negotiations.

Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze financial documents effectively.
