Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to support our veterinarians and technicians in providing excellent patient care. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves animals, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is eager to grow in the veterinary field.

• Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures.
• Prepare and sanitize exam and treatment rooms.
• Assist during outpatient exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Feed, bathe, and exercise hospitalized animals as directed.
• Clean kennels, cages, and the hospital facility per safety protocols.
• Restock supplies and maintain equipment.
• Handle laundry and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist in client communication and patient discharge as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks like filing, data entry, or prescription prep (as directed).

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred.
• Passion for animal welfare and strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer and organizational skills.
