POSITION SUMMARY: Are you passionate about creating educational videos? As a videographer at BJU Press, you’ll play a crucial role in our production team, handling the video elements of BJU Press projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, video recording, audio recording, editing, and on-location shoots.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Operates studio equipment and manages various technical aspects of production.
• Captures live video recordings of instructors, primarily in the studio or at other locations.
• Serves as the videographer and editor for special segments.
• Collaborates closely with subject matter experts to produce a polished final product.
• Participates in pre-production tasks, including brainstorming and planning.
• Handles production tasks such as lighting and filming.
• Involved in post-production tasks like video editing, audio mixing, and color correction.
• Handles data entry and file management for video content.
• Supports the Videography Supervisor with various projects and tasks as needed.
• Bachelor's degree and one to two years experience in film production, television, video editing, or broadcasting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in video capture and editing is required; a background in cinema is a plus, though not essential.
• Extensive experience in recording, audio work, and studio production is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of video production processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with professional video equipment and software.
• Abliltiy to multi-task effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft Office
