Job Description

Summary

JOB SCOPE:

Responsible for general cleaning a minimum of one room daily, and general cleaning of public areas, hallways, landings, and vending areas. Overnight Attendants are responsible for cleaning public spaces thoroughly. Other duties as required.

Job Functions :

Cleaning Tasks

  • Cleans mirrors and bathroom fixtures, dusts all furniture, wipes windows (inside), moves furniture, vacuums, and turns mattresses in guest rooms.
  • Cleans mirrors, vacuums, mops, waxes, and washes walls and door frames in all public areas, hallways, landings, and vending areas as needed or arranged by supervisor.
  • Polishes all brass and metals throughout assigned areas.
  • Cleans light fixtures.
  • Spot cleans walls, doors, etc.

Other Tasks

  • Gathers soiled linen, garbage, and deposits in respective chutes.
  • Takes down and hangs all drapes and curtains.
  • Maintains equipment in operating condition.
  • Makes deliveries throughout the hotel as needed.
  • Change shower curtains as needed.
  • Strip beds as needed for high occupancy/check-out dates.

Qualifications :

Essential :

  • One year in a position that provides the skills necessary for this position.
  • Fluency in English

  • Ability to bend, lift, push, pull and carry 50lbs.
  • Stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.
