Job Description

Due to rapid expansion in all of our clinics, we are offering a $3,000 sign on bonus. We are eager to be able to continue to serve clients in our service areas and need you to make this happen!
The primary care clinic nurse is responsible for patient care, workflow of the primary care clinic and providing general support of the provider"s work flow. They will also function as a case manager for consumers needing medication refills. In order to be successful in this role, you must be adept to a fast paced medical clinic and have basic knowledge of computers and computer programs. This position will provide coverage two days per week in our Lee"s Summit, MO clinic and the remainder of the week will be spent in the Clinton, Butler or Osceola, MO clincs.

Other responsibilities of the nurse:

Responsible for patient flow (rooming patients, lab etc.)

Review medication education sheets with client, obtain vitals as appropriate.

Complete necessary documentation in medical record.

Maintain accurate logs on all medications received and dispensed.

Work to help complete prior authorizations.

Maintain list of injections, coordinate ordering and delivery, verify orders are current, and discuss any side effects.

EDUCATION

High School/GED required
Associate degree in nursing preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least two (2) years experience as a licensed practical nurse in providing medical nursing treatment to individuals treated in a primary health care setting required
Experience and efficiency with healthcare technology software preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Licensed Practical Nurse required
