The Pohanka Automotive Group. The Pohanka Automotive Group is a family-owned network of car dealerships which was founded in 1919 in downtown Washington, D.C. We sell a high volume of vehicles in the D.C. Metro area and throughout the U.S. We have interests in a variety of fields, including sales, service, technology, marketing, venture capital, accounting and social media platforms. The Pohanka Automotive Group has approximately 2,000 employees and continues to grow. The Internship Program. Our 2025 Summer Internship Program is designed to provide real world job opportunities, while building a mutually beneficial relationship with our interns and our Company. The Program, located in Chantilly, Virginia, is comprised of 4 unique parts:

• Part 1 - (Week 1, Introduction) We will introduce our summer interns to our executives and employees. Interns will have the opportunity to get to know each other, our Company and its culture. At the end of Part 1, interns will select a specific field (sales, marketing, finance, tech, etc.) where they want to work this summer.
• Part 2- (Week 2, Sales Class) In the second of the program, interns will take our sales class, which will enable them to obtain a salesperson license from the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board. We believe the sales class provides educational and practical opportunities even for interns who will not be actively involved with sales.

Part 3- (Weeks 3-4, Mentorships) Interns will be assigned one or several mentors in their selected field. The goals include exposing interns to practical work experience with the help and support of some of our best employees who are experts in their professions. * Part 4- (Weeks 5-12, Job Experience) Interns will be working onsite. Mentors will be available for guidance, but we intend to provide our interns the same opportunities and responsibilities as our fulltime employees. The 2025 Program will begin on Tuesday, May 20 at 9:30 a.m. Address: 26252 Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly VA, 20152 Compensation. We will pay our summer interns at a rate of $20.00/hour, for what we anticipate will be 40-hour work weeks. Recreation, Sports, Art, History, Culture. Our Company is very involved in the D.C. Metro area and we intend to sponsor and provide opportunities for our summer interns to experience what the DMV scene has to offer. Applications.
