Job Title: Hospitality Team Member

Salary Range: $18+tips

Department: FOH Operations

Reports To: 320 Kent Management

Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and hospitality-driven individual to join our team as a Cashier/Expo at Stretch Pizza Domino. In this dual role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of orders and transactions. You will also play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of food from the kitchen to our guests, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. Your passion for creating a positive and welcoming experience will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities :

  • Cashier Responsibilities :
    • Greet guests with a warm and genuine welcome, creating a positive first impression of “Stretch Pizza”.
    • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, either in person or handed to a driver for delivery.
    • Enter orders into the POS system accurately, ensuring all items and modifications are correctly recorded.
    • Process payments quickly and accurately using cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
    • Provide accurate change and receipts to customers.
    • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and follow all cash handling procedures.
    • Answer customer questions about menu items, prices, and promotions.
    • Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism, escalating to a manager when necessary.
    • Promote specials, up-selling items, and inform customers of new menu offerings.
    • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
  • Expo Responsibilities :
    • Ensure all orders are complete, accurate, and meet our quality standards before they leave the kitchen.
    • Verify that each order matches the order ticket and is presented according to our presentation guidelines.
    • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
    • Package orders for takeout and delivery, ensuring all items are included and properly secured.
    • Prepare and plate any finishing touches on dishes, such as garnishes or sauces.
    • Manage the flow of orders from the kitchen to the dining room and takeout/delivery areas.
    • Maintain a clean and organized expo station.
    • Assist with bussing tables or other front-of-house duties as needed, demonstrating a team-player attitude.
    • Cleaning & dishes as needed.
  • Hospitality Responsibilities (Both Roles):
    • Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to every guest.
    • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance.
    • Thank guests for their business and invite them to return.
    • Maintain a positive and energetic attitude, even during busy periods.
    • Work as a team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
    • Demonstrate a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.
    • Strive to exceed guest expectations in every interaction.
    • Be knowledgeable about our menu, ingredients, and any daily specials.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cashier, expo, or in a similar customer service role in a restaurant environment is preferred.
  • NYC Food Handlers ID is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, energetic personality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Basic knowledge of food handling and safety procedures.
