Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant (Volunteer) to provide high-level administrative support and coordination across MAP’s leadership and program divisions. In addition to traditional administrative tasks, this role will involve overseeing administrative volunteers, streamlining internal processes, and ensuring that organizational systems run smoothly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in supporting executive-level work in a nonprofit or professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to MAP leadership
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics across departments
  • Draft and organize professional communications, reports, and presentations
  • Oversee and mentor administrative volunteers, delegating tasks as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems
  • Streamline administrative workflows and suggest process improvements
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Support event coordination, board communications, and special projects as needed


Requirements

  • Proven administrative or executive assistant experience (volunteer or professional)
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Calendar, Gmail)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to supervise and guide volunteers or junior staff
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Commitment to MAP’s mission of equity and youth empowerment


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with project management platforms (Trello, Asana, Slack, or similar)
  • Prior experience supporting boards, executives, or senior leadership
  • Comfort working in a remote or hybrid team environment
