Job Description



Join the University of Notre Dame as a Temporary Parking Enforcement Officer and become an essential part of our community! This role is not just about enforcing parking policies; it’s about delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring every member of our campus has access to authorized parking. As a vital team member, you will patrol parking areas, issue citations, direct traffic, and utilize cutting-edge electronic handheld devices for enforcement. We are seeking someone who is not only detail-oriented but also friendly and problem-solving, ready to thrive in a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively enforce University parking rules and regulations by patrolling assigned areas and issuing citations for violations through electronic handheld devices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by directing the campus community to authorized parking locations and providing information on parking passes and pay-to-park options.
  • Communicate efficiently via radio and telephone with the parking office to ensure smooth operations.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
  • Embrace the outdoors by working in all weather conditions, spending the majority of your shift on foot to stay connected with the community.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or GED is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license. 
  • Proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Ability to connect effectively with a diverse range of individuals, including students, faculty, and other community members.
  • Must demonstrate tact and confidentiality in handling sensitive situations.

Additional Information



Hiring Pay Range : $17.50/hr
