COMPENSATION: $72,380.00 to $137,777.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

About Our Opportunity

The Organizational Development Manager leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that support leadership development, professional growth, and talent retention across the Association. This individual contributor role is responsible for building and managing core development initiatives, including leadership workshops, professional skills training, and the Association's mentorship program.

This position partners closely with HR, business leaders, and external vendors to ensure all programs align with organizational goals and support a culture of learning, growth, and performance.

How You Will Spend Your Time

  • Provides expert guidance and problem-solving support to internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
  • Designs and delivers leadership and professional development programs aligned with the Association’s values and strategic goals.
  • Manages the full lifecycle of the mentorship program, including recruitment, matching, communications, and impact measurement.
  • Collaborates with HR, senior leaders, and internal stakeholders to identify development needs and build responsive learning solutions.
  • Facilitates leadership workshops, team development sessions, and group learning experiences as needed.
  • Analyzes business requirements, models workflows, and translates needs into actionable strategies or system enhancements.
  • Curates and maintains resources and learning pathways that support leadership competencies and career development.
  • Partners with external consultants or vendors to deliver targeted programs when appropriate.
  • Contributes to broader organizational initiatives that promote culture, engagement, and talent readiness.
  • Leverages data analytics, reporting, and performance metrics to refine strategies, improve user experience, and drive business growth.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and leadership to facilitate communication, alignment, and measurable success.

 

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree is required plus eight years experience developing learning and organizational development professional with foundational expertise designing and facilitating leadership development experiences, project management, and stakeholder collaboration. Works under moderate supervision, focusing on tactical execution, data analysis, and operational support. Ideal for candidates building their strategic thinking and business acumen within a structured environment.

Mental & Physical Requirements

While engaged in this position, team members will routinely sit, use hands for tasks, and communicate orally. Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
